Grandmaster Yu comes from a long line of Traditional Chinese medicine doctors, since the year 1492. He has received medical training from his family since 1978. A true master of health and wellness, Master Yu dedicates himself to the well-being of others and is a supportive figure in the Acupuncture community. His goals are to nourish life and bring about harmony from disharmony.

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world based on actual experiences and observation. Originating in China some 5,000 years ago, only in the last three decades has it become popular in the United States. Chinese Medicine is based on facts, Empirical Knowledge, confirmed by actual experience and repeated observation over thousands of years, and also through clinical experiences. When you accept Chinese Medical Statements of Fact, as Fact, you can logically stack one fact upon the next and reach dependable conclusions. This is the basis of deductive reasoning.

Our treatment protocol is designed to treat the underlying root cause of symptoms and to bring about immediate relief from acute and chronic pain manifestations, to help return patients to their daily routine. Utilizing Acupuncture, Tui Na massage and herbal medicine our patients benefit from a completely holistic, non-evasive and truly functional medicine.

Master Yu is sought out for his extraordinary abilities in treating pain, sports injuries, chronic illness, patients recovering from stroke, preventing unnecessary surgery, and for female and male fertility issues, by way of promoting healing and restoring balance to the body. He also believes in educating his patients to take an active role in their own healing abilities to help maximize the effectiveness of Chinese medicine. His patient testimonials speak for themselves regarding the unique quality, efficacy and simplicity of his treatments.

Anthony DiSalvo is the protégé of Master Yu, training since 2013. He continues the Yu Dayi Family techniques at our Encino clinic. Anthony is also a practioner of traditional martial arts since 1998.

Chinese herbs have a long history of use in aiding fertility. Some of the treatment plans involve using two, or even three, different formulas at different times of the menstrual cycle. Although the outcome for any given individual cannot be predicted, the clinical studies conducted in China indicate that about 70% of all cases of infertility (male and female) treated by Chinese herbs resulted in pregnancy or restored fertility.

TRAUMATOLOGY

Chinese medicine is particularly effective for trauma relief because the method of diagnosis involves searching for the root of a person's distress, rather than merely treating the symptoms. By thoroughly investigating the cause of a patient's stress disorder, origin and continuing source of discomfort and fear is recognized and more readily conquered.

NUTRITION COUNSELING

Oriental medical theory asserts that balanced dietary practices are just one piece of a healthy lifestyle. Many conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, chronic metabolic conditions and even stress, anxiety are improved from improved dietary choices. We assess each patient individually in order to determine which nutritional approaches may work best based on both their constitution and current complaint and modify those suggestions appropriately.

CHRONIC ILLNESS

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a time tested holistic medicine system. Chronic illness has been documented for thousands of years and effective supportive treatments have been refined and improved upon to benefit patients. TCM provides functional solutions to chronic health issues, which allows patients to regain their quality of life. With a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas the body's immune system is supported.
